Cost:

The costs of your art projects are based completely upon the items you select. There are no hourly, studio, or firing fees.

Art Projects & Activities:

The Art Studio is a multi-purpose space where you can paint pottery, make a mosaic, do decoupage, paint a wooden treasure box or some other wooden item, knit a nifty scarf or do any one of a countless variety of projects enabled by the resources available at doodlebug. The doodlebug Staff are always available to help you make your selection and get started on your project. We also help you put together a selection of items for use at home or at school. Reservations are not required.

Unpainted Pottery:

The doodlebug Art Studio has a wide selection of unpainted pottery. It's easy and fun for all ages!

We also encourage people to use the studio for projects using materials such as

* KNITTING & other NEEDLE ARTS * BEADING

Process:

You select the piece, choose your glaze colors, and paint any design you like. We'll fire it and it will be ready for pick-up within 5 days. If you don’t finish your item the day you begin you may leave it on our “work in progress” shelf for up to 60 days and come back to complete it without additional cost.

Cost:

The cost for pottery painting is based upon the item you choose, there is no hourly fee or additional charge for painting, glazing or firing. Items range from small “add-ons” or tiles at $4 to a variety of large platters and bowls. Mugs range from $16 to $22 and there are animals and other creatures from $10 to $25. Again, the cost includes everything but tax.

Receive a 10% discount on all pieces you paint at home with your own collection of glazes.

Cost of other projects (painting wood, mosaics, papercrafts, etc.) are also based upon the cost of the materials you require (the surface, paint, adornments, etc.) – the only difference is that we provide the glazes for pottery painting and these are not appropriate for other purposes.

Outside Firing:

We can accommodate some outside pieces for firing, depending upon availability of kiln space. We also depend upon your judgment to ensure that any items fired in our kilns have been properly prepared (in other words, we don’t want any “explosive” results!).

$2 and up depending upon size and requirements. Timing will be determined based on studio needs.

Make Any Gathering a Party!!!

Our Party Room is available by appointment for groups of 8+. We recommend this space for groups wanting to include refreshments or a dedicated "helper." Please see our Daily Classes for information on scheduled group activities from knitting and sewing instruction to clay, jewelry and paper-crafts.

We have held innumerable parties/classes for wheel-throwing, knitting, sewing, beading, paper-crafts and other creative projects. Please check for the availability of space & staff if you are interested.
