Glass Fusing - Create Three Holiday Ornaments

Create a wonderful set of ornament masterpieces using a super range of colors and textures of glass. You’ll learn some of the basics of glass fusing from Kristin and she’ll give you some ideas for designs (or you can bring your own ideas to the table!). You’ll leave your work for firing and we’ll have your finished creations ready for you by December 5. Great for decorating your home or as special gifts for someone you love!

Clay Ornaments

Create up to 12 unique holiday ornaments from clay, hand-building or using cookie cutters. They’ll make wonderful holiday gifts or great additions to the family tree. Hilary will help you get started and you’ll have the choice to paint the items before we bisque them or to return to paint them before we do the final glaze firing. Your creations will be fired and ready for wrapping or hanging by December 12.

Make A Menorah

Create a menorah as a gift or a very special part of the way your family celebrates the holiday. We’ll provide a few design ideas and help you work with clay to fashion a unique menorah – then you’ll have the choice to paint it before we bisque it or to return to paint before the final glaze firing. Please allow several weeks for these items to be fired.

Handprint Treasures

Create special ornaments or plaques from clay using the handprints of Grandma’s (and everyone else’s) favorite baby or toddler. This can be be a lot of fun when you have a team (Mommy & Daddy, Uncle & Aunt, doting next door neighbors or whomever) but is do-able solo. Hilary will provide the clay and assistance with your technique – we’ll also have some ideas to share for finishing. These special items will be bisqued and ready for painting by December 12.

$25 per plaque (two hands/two feet)

Holiday Card-making

We’ll have samples and materials and will help you create some very special holiday greetings. A great way to say Happy Holidays and to demonstrates you really care! Oh, and a fun way to spend time during vacation!

Mosaic Mirror Masterpieces

We’ll create large beautiful mirrors by breaking colorful ceramic tiles and arranging them in our own unique designs. We’ll arrange a convenient date to come back to grout our mirrors (or we can send you home with instructions and everything you need to do this on your own). This has always been one of our biggest “wow” projects and makes a striking and unusual gift for someone who deserves the gift of your creative efforts.

Pearls of Wisdom Bracelet Workshop

You’ll learn the basic beading and finishing techniques you need to know to create a very special freshwater pearl and sterling silver bracelet. Caroline will give you step by step instructions and will provide all the materials you need to finish your special gift. You’ll definitely want to make another one, just to keep!

Barsha will be on hand with sewing machines and step by step instructions to help even the most nervous beginner create a special gift for someone special. We’ll have a range of materials available that will provide a lot of choices for fabrics so that your creation will reflect your unique personality (or that of the recipient)! You’ll want to make lots more special gifts after you learn these great new skills.
