At doodlebug we like to work on building creative confidence – through learning to pay attention (dare we say, learning to “be present”?), to use new media, tools and techniques, to practice skills and, hopefully, to find joy in the process of creating something unique and meaningful (even if the rest of us “don’t get it”!). We love to send people home with masterpieces to show off but, most of all we love to send home newly confident artists who feel comfortable continuing their creative explorations going forward far into the future.

NOTES

1) We can also set up “ad hoc” classes for groups of interested students. Please, get in touch and we’ll explore the options!

2) You should call ahead prior to “dropping-in” to ensure that class has not been/will not be cancelled or over-subscribed. Reserving a space will help avoid this situation.

3) Minimum number of students for any class is 6 (maximum is 12)

Create Your Own Class:

doodlebug can provide a great teacher and location for the class of your dreams. If you and some of your friends would like to arrange private classes, please let us know and we'll work with you to develop the curriculum and schedule that works best for all. We can arrange a series of classes or just a one-time introduction or refresher course. Remember, doodlebug isn't just for children, we have students ranging in age from 2 to, well, we haven't really asked.

This is a great option for home-schoolers or other students seeking an "independent study" option. It also makes for a great gathering of friends, co-workers or Mom's (and Dad's)-who-need-a-break! Past classes have included Introduction to the pottery wheel, Sculpture, Sewing basic home decor items, Pattern-making, Knitting, Felting, Embellishing/Re-making Clothing, Decoupage, Journal and book-making, Mixed-media collage, Drawing, Watercolor, and Making jewelry with buttons & beads. There are countless other options, so get in touch and let's start brain-storming! Prices depend upon the time and material requirements as well as the number of students involved and are very competitive/reasonable!
